GCSE Mathematics grade 4 or above is the single most demanded qualification in UK education and employment. It is required for nursing, teacher training, police officer entry, civil service graduate schemes, and almost every professional apprenticeship. The specification covers number (including fractions, percentages, and standard form), algebra (equations, functions, and graphs), ratio and proportion, geometry (properties of shapes, mensuration, and trigonometry), probability, and statistics. Both foundation tier (grades 1 to 5) and higher tier (grades 4 to 9) are available, your tutor helps you decide which tier is right for your target grade.
