Who we are
Lift College is a UK online college delivering qualifications awarded by Ofqual-regulated UK awarding bodies. We give adult learners a serious, structured, and affordable route into further study, professional practice, and university, without leaving work, family, or life on hold.
We are not an American online marketplace. Every qualification we offer is designed for the UK skills, employment, and higher-education system. Every course is delivered by a UK tutor. Every certificate is issued by a recognised UK awarding body.
We started Lift College because too many adult learners were choosing between two poor options: an expensive, inflexible classroom course, or an unregulated online course with no recognised outcome at the end of it. We built a third option, regulated, online, and built around a working adult's schedule rather than a term-time timetable.

From a small first cohort to a national online learning provider.
Founding
Lift College was founded to give UK adult learners a serious, regulation-first alternative to informal online course marketplaces, with every qualification tied to a recognised UK awarding body from day one.
First learner cohort
Our first cohort enrolled on Access to Higher Education and Level 2 and 3 health and social care qualifications, setting the pattern we still follow: small, well-supported starts rather than an uncontrolled mass launch.
Awarding-body partnerships
We built direct partnerships with Ofqual-regulated UK awarding organisations, giving learners a genuine choice of regulator and qualification style across every faculty.
15,000-learner milestone
Lift College now supports more than 15,000 learners a year across 134 live qualifications and 7 faculties, from individual career changers to employer-sponsored cohorts of hundreds.
What we stand for
Regulation-first
We only publish qualifications that sit on the Regulated Qualifications Framework or an equivalent recognised UK framework. If a course cannot be traced to a named regulator, we do not sell it.
UK tutors only
Every tutor is based in the UK and matched to learners by subject specialism, not ticket queue. No outsourced or offshore marking, ever.
Price transparency
Course fees, payment plans and any add-on costs are published on the course page itself. No hidden registration fees revealed at checkout.
No hard sell
Advisers are trained to help learners choose the right course, including telling them when a course is not the right fit. We do not operate on a pure commission model.

We track completion rates, progression into work or further study, and learner satisfaction by qualification, and use that data to retire or improve courses that underperform.

Our tutor team includes both employed staff and vetted contracted specialists, depending on subject demand. Every tutor, regardless of employment type, is UK-based, subject-qualified and matched to learners by specialism before they can teach on the platform.
How is Lift College regulated?
Lift College is not itself an exam board or regulator. Our qualifications are regulated by the bodies that oversee our awarding-body partners, principally Ofqual for RQF qualifications, with Access to HE diplomas overseen by an Access Validating Agency under the QAA framework.
