About these terms
These terms form the agreement between you and Lift College("Lift College", "we", "us") when you use this website or enrol on a course. By creating an account or starting a subscription you accept them. If anything here is unclear, contact us at info@liftcollege.co.uk before enrolling.
Your subscription
- Course access is sold as a monthly or annual subscription. The price, billing interval and what is included are shown on the course page and at checkout before you pay.
- There is no fixed contract term and no credit check. Your subscription renews automatically at the end of each billing period until you cancel or pause it.
- Payments are processed securely by Stripe. If a renewal payment fails we will retry it and email you; access is suspended if payment is not received.
- Awarding-body registration and certification fees are included unless the course page states otherwise.
Pausing and cancelling
- You can pause your subscription at any time from your account. While paused you are not billed and your course access is suspended; your progress is kept.
- You can cancel at any time. Cancellation stops future billing and your access continues until the end of the period you have already paid for.
14-day refund
If you are a new subscriber you can request a full refund of your first payment within 14 days of enrolling, provided you have not submitted work for marking or been registered with an awarding body in that time. To request a refund email info@liftcollege.co.uk. This does not affect your statutory rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015.
Studying with us
- You must give accurate information when you enrol, including anything a qualification legally requires (for example age or prior-qualification checks).
- Work you submit for marking must be your own. Plagiarism, collusion or contract cheating can lead to withdrawal from the course without refund, and awarding bodies may apply their own sanctions.
- Some qualifications have external requirements we do not control, such as exam windows, placements or awarding-body deadlines. These are stated on the course page.
Your account
- Your account is personal to you. Keep your login details private and tell us if you think someone else has used them.
- We may suspend accounts used abusively, unlawfully, or in a way that disrupts the service or other learners.
Our content
Course materials, site content and the Lift College brand are our intellectual property or licensed to us. You may use materials for your own study only. You may not copy, resell or redistribute them.
Our liability
Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law, including for death or personal injury caused by negligence. Otherwise, our total liability to you in connection with your subscription is limited to the amount you have paid us in the 12 months before the claim. We are not liable for losses that were not foreseeable when you enrolled, or for delays caused by events outside our reasonable control.
General
- We may update these terms; the date at the top shows the latest revision. Changes that materially affect current subscribers are notified by email before they take effect.
- These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have jurisdiction.
