1. Monthly subscription
The Monthly plan is our default. Your card is charged the same amount each month and your subscription continues for as long as you are studying.
- Cancel from your dashboard at any time. Access continues to the end of the paid month.
- No exit fee, no charge for months you did not use, no credit check.
- On Study + Exams and Study + CPAC we quote a 9-month expected term because those tiers include awarding-body fees (see section 4 below).
- On Study only, there is no minimum term at all.
- 14-day full refund on your first payment.
2. Annual subscription
Annual is an ongoing yearly subscription. It is roughly 15% cheaper than paying monthly for 12 months, so it is the best value for learners who plan to study over a full academic year or longer.
- One payment covers 12 months of access.
- Renews automatically each year. You are emailed before renewal.
- Cancel from your dashboard at any time. Access continues to the end of the paid year.
- Awarding-body fees are fully covered by the annual payment, so there is no minimum-term rule on Annual.
- Switch course inside the annual period at no extra cost.
- 14-day full refund on your first payment.
3. The three tiers
Every qualification is available on the same three tiers, on Monthly or Annual.
- Study — tuition, materials, named UK tutor and marking. You arrange your own exam registration elsewhere. Cancel-anytime, no minimum term.
- Study + Exams — everything in Study, plus awarding-body registration and one exam entry per subject. 9-month expected term on Monthly.
- Study + CPAC — a flat £119.99 / month, available only on A-level Biology, Chemistry and Physics. Adds the CPAC practical endorsement to Study + Exams. 9-month expected term on Monthly.
4. How the exam credit works (Study + Exams and CPAC)
On Study + Exams and Study + CPAC we build an exam credit into every payment so that awarding-body registration and one exam entry per subject are covered without a lump sum.
- Each payment adds a set amount to your exam credit, visible on your dashboard.
- When the credit covers the awarding-body entry fee, you can book the exam directly from your account.
- If you want to book earlier, you can top up the shortfall at cost.
- Resits and additional entries are charged at cost, with no mark-up.
- Because these tiers advance exam fees, we quote a 9-month expected term on Monthly. It is not a lock-in and no settlement is charged if you cancel early, but any exam credit that has not yet been used is forfeited on cancellation and any exam we have not yet booked is void. This protects us from advancing awarding-body fees that never get funded.
5. Study + CPAC (A-level sciences)
A-level Biology, Chemistry and Physics require a practical assessment called CPAC (the Common Practical Assessment Criteria). Our Study + CPAC tier is priced at a flat £119.99 / month and includes:
- Everything in Study + Exams (tuition, tutor, one exam entry per subject).
- The CPAC practical endorsement.
- A practical-skills logbook and evidence pack.
- Access to a recognised exam centre with a CPAC assessor.
CPAC is not available on any other qualification. If you switch from a science A-level to a non-science subject, your tier moves down to Study + Exams from the next billing cycle.
6. Cancelling: what happens to your credit
- Cancel from your dashboard at any time. Cancellation stops future billing.
- Access continues to the end of the current paid period (month or year).
- Study Monthly or Annual — nothing further to settle, no forfeiture, no exit fee.
- Study + Exams or Study + CPAC Monthly — any exam credit not yet used is forfeited on cancellation and any exam we have not yet booked is void. If we have already registered you with an awarding body or booked an exam, that specific booking is honoured.
- Study + Exams or Study + CPAC Annual — access and credit remain available until the end of the paid year. No forfeiture during the year.
- No cancellation fee, no exit charge, no early-termination penalty on any plan.
7. If a payment fails
We retry a failed card twice over 5 days and email you before we pause your access. Once payment is up to date, access resumes immediately and no fees are charged for the delay.
Funding FAQ
Are there any credit checks?
No. Every plan is a Stripe subscription paid on a card. We do not run credit checks, there is no loan and no interest.
What is the difference between Monthly and Annual?
Monthly is an ongoing subscription billed each month, giving you maximum flexibility. Annual is an ongoing yearly subscription that is around 15% cheaper than paying monthly for 12 months. Both are cancel-anytime with no exit fees.
Is there a minimum term?
On the Study-only tier, no. On Study + Exams and Study + CPAC Monthly, we quote a 9-month expected term because the monthly price includes awarding-body registration and one exam entry per subject. You can still cancel anytime, but any accrued exam credit is forfeited if you cancel before you have banked enough for your exam. On Annual, the yearly payment already covers exam costs so no minimum term applies.
How does the exam credit build up on Study + Exams?
Each payment adds a set amount to your exam credit, shown on your dashboard. Once your credit covers the awarding-body entry fee for a subject you have finished, you can book the exam. Your credit stays with you if you pause or switch course.
What if I want to book an exam before my credit is high enough?
You can top up the shortfall from your account at cost. We do not mark up awarding-body fees.
What if I cancel before finishing?
You stop paying and there is no cancellation fee. On Study, that is the end of it. On Study + Exams or Study + CPAC Monthly, any exam credit you have not yet used is forfeited and any exam we have not yet booked is void. On Annual, your access continues to the end of the paid year and any credit you have earned is available in that time.
