Your employer decides the fire safety training your workplace needs, based on its own risk assessment and emergency plan. Irish law expects training that covers the measures to take in an emergency, in a form and language employees are likely to understand. A good certificate records the course, hours, completion date and refresh date, and can be verified. The content should follow Irish law: the Safety, Health and Welfare at Work Act 2005, the Safety, Health and Welfare at Work (General Application) Regulations 2007 and the Fire Services Act 1981.
Lift College's certificate does each of these: it names Fire Safety Training (Ireland), shows 2 hours of learning, your completion date and a refresh-by date 12 months on, with a unique number and verification link. The refresher is free.
