Why this training matters
Most accidents at work come from everyday tasks: lifting a box, a trailing cable, a blocked fire exit. Knowing the risks, and what to do about them, protects you and the people around you. Section 2 of the Health and Safety at Work etc. Act 1974 says employers must provide the information, instruction, training and supervision needed for their employees' health and safety. Section 7 asks you, as an employee, to take reasonable care of yourself and others and to co-operate with your employer. These courses support your employer's duty under the Act to give you information and training. Each one focuses on a single risk and explains it in plain words. Start with fire safety and manual handling, which suit almost every workplace. Add DSE training if you work at a screen, and asbestos awareness if your work could disturb the fabric of a building. Health and Safety Training gives a broad grounding for new starters and people stepping into a supervisory role. Every course is split into short modules with a knowledge check after each one. Pass the final test and your CPD certificate issued by Lift College is ready the same day. When your recommended refresh date arrives, you retake the latest version free. Running a workplace in the Republic of Ireland? Fire Safety Training (Ireland) is written for you.
Every course ends with a CPD certificate your employer can check.
Your certificate records your name, the course, the hours of learning, the date you completed and a recommended refresh date. Each one has a unique number and a verification link, so anyone can confirm it in seconds.
