Why this training matters
The way people handle information and treat each other at work is shaped by law. Since 26 October 2024, section 40A of the Equality Act 2010 has required employers to take reasonable steps to prevent sexual harassment of employees. Acas says that from 30 October 2026, employers must take all reasonable steps, and they will also be liable for harassment by third parties such as customers unless they have taken all reasonable steps. The Equality Act 2010 also protects people from discrimination and harassment linked to protected characteristics. Acas says there is no specific law against bullying, but harassment linked to a protected characteristic is unlawful, so good conduct at work matters well beyond the legal minimum. For personal data, most processing is covered by the UK GDPR, which the Data Protection Act 2018 supplements. Most of the data protection changes in the Data (Use and Access) Act 2025 came into force on 5 February 2026. GDPR Training is for all staff who handle personal data day to day. Data Protection Training goes deeper, for managers and people who deal with subject access requests, data breaches and data sharing. Sexual Harassment Training, Equality and Diversity Training, Bullying and Harassment Training and Mental Health Awareness Training help build a fair, respectful workplace. What is the difference between GDPR Training and Data Protection Training?
GDPR Training is for all staff and covers handling personal data day to day. Data Protection Training goes deeper, for managers and people who deal with subject access requests, breaches and data sharing.
Has data protection law changed in 2026?
Yes. Most of the data protection changes in the Data (Use and Access) Act 2025 came into force on 5 February 2026. Both data courses cover them.
What changes for sexual harassment in October 2026?
Acas says that from 30 October 2026, employers must take all reasonable steps to prevent sexual harassment, not just reasonable steps. Employers will also be liable for harassment of their staff by third parties, such as customers, unless they have taken all reasonable steps.
Is workplace bullying against the law?
Acas says there is no specific law against bullying. Harassment linked to a protected characteristic, such as age, race or sex, is unlawful under the Equality Act 2010, and serious bullying can lead to other legal claims.
Does the mental health course teach me to diagnose conditions?
No. Mental Health Awareness Training helps you notice when someone may be struggling and start a supportive conversation. It also shows where to find help, such as NHS 111.
Buying for a team?
Enrol several learners at once, one invoice, and a certificate for each person the day they pass. Tell us the courses and how many people and we will set it up.
