You sit written papers at the Tutors and Exams centre in Taunton, Hi-Point, First Floor Offices, Thomas Street, TA2 6HB. It is about 48 miles and a 50 to 70 minute drive from Bristol via the M5 at Junction 25, or roughly 30 to 60 minutes by direct train from Bristol Temple Meads. Is there anywhere closer to Bristol to sit exams?

Can I complete A-Level science practicals (CPAC) near Bristol?

Yes. The CPAC lab is at Queen’s College, Trull Road, Taunton TA1 4QS, about a mile south of Taunton town centre off the A38 and reached from the M5 at Junction 25. Practicals run over four consecutive days and cover Biology, Chemistry and Physics for AQA, Pearson Edexcel, OCR and Eduqas.

What are the facilities like at the Taunton centre?

The centre is on the first floor of Hi-Point on Thomas Street, close to Taunton railway station. There is no parking or drop-off at the centre and no DDA-compliant toilets at the main site, so tell us about any access needs when you book and we will arrange a suitable room.
