How you pay

You pay a monthly subscription for each A Level while you study, or one payment for the year at 15% less. Your first 7 days are free: nothing is charged until day 8, and if you cancel before then you pay nothing. There is no credit agreement, so there is no debt and nothing for anyone to chase; if you stop paying, you simply stop studying. Every payment you ever make is covered by a 14-day money-back guarantee. Prefer to skip the trial? Choose "Start now", pay today, and every payment is 15% lower for as long as you study, on top of the annual saving if you pay yearly.

The three plans

PlanMonthlyAnnual (saves 15%)What you get
Study£49.99£509.99The full course, your named UK tutor, marked practice in every unit, mock papers and AI Study Support. You arrange your own exam entry as a private candidate; exam entry is only on +Exams. No minimum term
+Exams£89.99£917.99Everything in Study plus awarding-body registration and one exam entry per subject, booked for you at a Tutors & Exams centre, with the entry and centre fees included
+Exams & CPAC (Biology, Chemistry, Physics)£119.99£1,223.99Everything in +Exams plus the CPAC practical endorsement at a Tutors & Exams laboratory venue

On Monthly, +Exams and +Exams & CPAC come with a 9-month expected term because exam fees are built into the price. You can still cancel at any time with no exit fee, but exam credit you have not yet used is forfeited and any exam not yet booked is void. On Annual the year's payment covers the exams, so no term applies.

What is included

Tutor support, all study materials, marking within 5 to 7 working days, mock papers and access to the learning platform are included on every plan. On +Exams and +Exams & CPAC your awarding-body entry fee and Tutors & Exams centre fee are included and Lift College enters you before the deadline and confirms your seat by email, at one of ten centres in England: Birmingham, Bolton, Coventry, Doncaster, High Wycombe, Mitcham, Newcastle, Romford, St Neots and Taunton. On Study you can enter yourself at a centre that accepts private candidates and you are responsible for that entry, its fees and any non-exam assessment arrangements; our guide to A Level private exam centres explains how.

Discounts

  • Annual billing: 15% below twelve monthly payments.
  • Start now: skip the free trial, pay today, and every payment is 15% lower for life. This stacks with the annual saving.
  • More than one course: 5% off for two courses, 10% for three and 15% for four or more, added in the basket, on top of the annual saving.

Pausing, changing and refunds

You can pause from your dashboard: billing stops, your progress is saved, and you restart when you are ready. You can change course inside your subscription at no cost by contacting us. Any payment can be refunded in full if you ask within 14 days of it being taken.

What is not offered

Lift College does not offer Advanced Learner Loans, government student finance or third-party finance products. The monthly or annual subscription is the only way to pay. Prices for every family of qualification are on the pricing page, and our comparison of online A Level providers shows how this model compares with fixed course fees and separate exam fees elsewhere.

FAQ

Your questions answered

How does the A Level subscription work?

You pay £49.99 a month on Study or £89.99 a month on +Exams (£119.99 on +Exams & CPAC for the sciences) for each A Level while you study, after a 7-day free trial with nothing charged until day 8. There is no contract and no credit agreement, and you can cancel from your account at any time.

Can I pay annually instead?

Yes. Paying for 12 months up front saves 15%: £509.99 on Study, £917.99 on +Exams or £1,223.99 on +Exams & CPAC. No expected term applies on Annual.

Are exam fees included?

On +Exams and +Exams & CPAC, yes: the awarding-body entry fee and the Tutors & Exams centre fee are included, and Lift College books your seat. On Study, exam entry is not included; you can enter yourself as a private candidate at a centre that accepts them.

What is the 9-month expected term?

Monthly +Exams and +Exams & CPAC quote a 9-month expected term because the exam fees are spread across the price. You can cancel earlier with no exit fee, but exam credit you have not used is forfeited and unbooked exams are void. There is no term on Study or on Annual.

Do you offer Advanced Learner Loans or student finance?

No. Lift College courses are self-funded through the monthly or annual subscription; there are no loans, no credit checks and no third-party finance.

What is the cheapest way to do A Levels online in the UK?

Pay only for the months you study and make sure the exam is in the price. Lift College's +Exams plan is £89.99 a month with exam entry and centre fees included, so nine monthly payments, the expected term, come to £809.91 for the course and the exam together, and choosing "Start now" takes 15% off every payment for life. Paying annually (£917.99) covers twelve months with no expected term. Fixed-fee providers charged £395 to £730 per subject before exam fees on 11 October 2026, so compare their total including exam fees, not the headline fee.
