Lift College Team
Sarah Mitchell
Head of Access to Higher Education
Sarah leads Access to HE at Lift College. She works with adult learners returning to study and mapping their route into nursing, midwifery and allied health degrees.
About Sarah
Sarah has worked in adult education for over twelve years, most of it focused on the Access to Higher Education Diploma. She joined Lift College to help build a dedicated online Access route for people who cannot fit a college timetable around work, caring or shift patterns.
She spends most of her week talking to prospective learners, walking them through Access to HE, UCAS points, and university entry requirements for competitive nursing and midwifery programmes. She also reviews unit content across the diploma to keep it aligned with what universities actually look for in a strong Access candidate.
Before Lift College, Sarah taught health and social care at a large FE college and worked briefly as an admissions adviser for a UK nursing school, which is where her interest in the Access to HE route began.
