Anaphylaxis Training
Anaphylaxis is a severe, life-threatening allergic reaction, and fast action matters. From September 2026, schools in England have new statutory guidance from the Department for Education. Maintained schools and academies should give all staff allergy awareness training at least once a year.
You learn to spot the signs, call 999, position the person and use an adrenaline auto-injector. This follows the Resuscitation Council UK 2025 guidelines. It also covers the 14 allergens food businesses must manage and how Natasha's Law changed food labelling. Your CPD certificate is ready the same day you pass.

What learners say about Lift College
Questions about Anaphylaxis Training
Do school staff need allergy training?
DfE statutory guidance, which maintained schools, academies and pupil referral units must have regard to, says all staff should have allergy awareness training at least once a year. That includes supply staff, catering staff and regular volunteers. The government plans regulations to make it a legal duty.
Does this course cover what schools need for allergy awareness training?
The course covers the topics the DfE guidance lists for staff training: recognising anaphylaxis, responding in an emergency and using adrenaline devices. Your school decides what training its staff need.
What is Natasha's Law?
Natasha's Law is the Food Information (Amendment) (England) Regulations 2019. Since 1 October 2021, food prepacked for direct sale must show its name and a full ingredients list, with allergens emphasised.
What are the 14 allergens?
Food businesses must manage 14 allergens. They are celery, cereals containing gluten, crustaceans, eggs, fish, lupin, milk, molluscs, mustard, tree nuts, peanuts, sesame, soya, and sulphur dioxide and sulphites.
How do you use an adrenaline auto-injector?
Follow the instructions on the device and call 999. The Resuscitation Council UK guidelines say adrenaline goes into the outer thigh as soon as possible. If symptoms continue five minutes later, a second dose is given, ideally in the other leg.
How long do I keep access?
You keep your access for as long as Lift College offers the course, and never less than 3 years from the day you buy. Your certificate PDF is yours to keep.
What is the free refresher?
Lift College recommends refreshing this course every 12 months. When your date comes round, you can retake the latest version free and get a new certificate. We email you 30 days before.
