First Aid Training
Most emergencies at work begin with one person who sees it happen. What that person does in the first few minutes matters. Calling 999 early, starting CPR and fetching a defibrillator all buy time for the ambulance.
This course is written around the Resuscitation Council UK 2025 guidelines. You learn to check a casualty in a clear order, give CPR and use a defibrillator. You also learn to help with choking, bleeding, burns, shock, seizures and strokes. Short modules fit around your shifts, and your CPD certificate is ready the same day you pass.
- Check a casualty quickly using a structured first aid assessment
- Call 999 early and give the call handler clear information
- Give chest compressions at the right rate and depth
- Use an automated external defibrillator (AED) with confidence
- Help an adult who is choking with back blows and abdominal thrusts
- Control serious bleeding with firm, direct pressure
- Recognise a stroke using FAST and act without delay
- Place someone in the recovery position and keep checking their breathing

Is online first aid training valid for work?

What does the law say about first aid at work?
The Health and Safety (First-Aid) Regulations 1981 require employers to provide adequate and appropriate first-aid equipment, facilities and people. Employers assess their first-aid needs and tell staff about the arrangements. HSE says this applies to every workplace, including those with fewer than five employees.
What is the CPR rate and depth for an adult?
The Resuscitation Council UK 2025 guidelines say to press at 100 to 120 compressions a minute. Press at least 5 cm deep but no more than 6 cm. If you are trained in rescue breaths, give 30 compressions then 2 breaths. If not, keep giving continuous compressions.
