CPD guide

Looking for an iHASCO alternative for a small business? Lift College sells each online CPD course per learner, paid once: every Lift College CPD course is £19.99 pay once, or £16.99 a course on a free Lift College organisation account, with no subscription, no credits to use up and no minimum number of people. Each learner gets a CPD certificate issued by Lift College the same day they pass and a free refresher when their refresh date arrives. iHASCO sells through a subscription, quoted for your team, or through pay as you go credits at £3 each, which its pages say expire after 12 months unless more credits are bought. Both let you pay by invoice on 30 day terms.

How each provider sells, checked on 17 October 2026

iHASCO. Its pricing page offers two routes. A subscription is labelled "Most popular", and its FAQ says a subscription offers the best value "if you're training over five members of staff or need access to several courses throughout the year", with full LMS access. Its FAQ suggests pay as you go credits for seasonal or occasional training for a small number of learners. The pricing page shows an estimated cost per learner of £5.85 to £7.30 a month for 30 learners, and says your quote is the only fee you are given. Most course pages have a credits basket that opens at 100 credits for £300 (300 credits for £900 on the Care Certificate), and say credits cost £3 each. None of the pages we read says how many credits one learner uses on one course, so check with iHASCO before you buy.

Lift College. You pay per learner per course, once. On a free organisation account every CPD course is £16.99, 15% off from the first enrolment. There is no account fee, no subscription and no minimum. You pay by card, or by invoice on 30 day terms with your own PO number.

Certificates and refreshers

Lift College. Every course ends with a final test: 80% to pass, with unlimited free retakes. Pass and your CPD certificate issued by Lift College is ready as a PDF the same day. It records your name, the course, the hours of learning, the completion date and a recommended refresh date, with a unique number and a verification link so an employer can confirm it. When the refresh date arrives, you retake the latest version free and get a new certificate, and Lift emails you 30 days before. You can ask for a full refund within 14 days of paying.

iHASCO. Its course pages end with a multiple choice test (20 questions on most of the courses above, 30 on Food Hygiene Level 3) and a printable certificate showing the completion date and an expiry date. Certificates can be reprinted from its LMS at any time. Whether a refresher is charged: Check provider.

On the Care Certificate, Lift College's course teaches the knowledge for all 16 standards, and your employer observes your practice at work and awards the Care Certificate itself, usually on the national template. iHASCO's page says its course covers all 16 standards; it does not describe a workplace observation.

Managing a team

iHASCO's LMS page lists training reports by role, department or site, exportable reports and certificates, automated reminders for staff to finish their training, manager access limited to their own teams and SCORM files. Branding is an extra you can add to a subscription.

A Lift College organisation account shows who studied this week and for how long, every certificate earned as it happens, and who needs a check in, with a one tap study reminder. A learners table has progress, study time and last studied for each person, and you can download a progress report that opens in Excel. You can view or download each certificate the day the learner finishes. Lift finds your logo and colours from your website, and your learners see your logo on their email and course pages.

Course range

iHASCO's courses page describes a library of over 250 eLearning courses, and some are available in 40 languages, so its range is larger. Lift College has 35 CPD courses across health and safety, first aid and medical, food hygiene, safeguarding and care, and workplace compliance, each between 1 and 12 hours. Which suits a small business?

iHASCO may suit you if you want a course Lift does not offer, training in another language, SCORM files for your own LMS, or a subscription that covers many courses for a larger team over the year.

Lift College may suit you if you have a small team and want to pay per learner per course: £19.99 pay once, or £16.99 on an organisation account, with no subscription, no credits to expire, a same day CPD certificate and a free refresher when it is due.

How does iHASCO pricing work?

Its course pages say credits cost £3 each and expire after 12 months unless additional credits are purchased. Do Lift College credits or courses expire?
Lift College does not use credits. You pay once for one learner on one course, and the learner keeps access for as long as Lift College offers the course, and never less than 3 years from the day you buy.
Does iHASCO have more courses than Lift College?
Yes. iHASCO's courses page describes a library of over 250 eLearning courses. Lift College has 35 CPD courses in five areas, each £19.99 pay once.
