Fire Safety Training (Ireland)

Safety, Health and Welfare at Work Act 2005
Employers must prepare emergency plans covering first aid, fire-fighting and evacuation, and designate employees to implement them (section 11). Training must cover the measures to take in an emergency, in a form and language employees are likely to understand (section 10).

Emergency routes and exits must be kept clear (regulation 12). Workplaces must have appropriate fire-fighting equipment and, as necessary, fire detectors and an alarm system (regulation 13).
