You can do bullying and harassment training online in the UK with Lift College's Bullying and Harassment Training course. It is 2 hours of learning in 5 short modules, covering what bullying looks like, when harassment is unlawful under the Equality Act 2010, the difference between bullying and firm management, raising a concern and handling a complaint as a manager. It costs £19.99, pay once, and your accredited CPD certificate is ready the same day you pass. Lift College recommends a refresh every 3 years, and the refresher is free.

Which online bullying and harassment certificate do employers accept?

Your employer decides the conduct training its staff need, based on its own risk assessment. Under section 109 of the Equality Act 2010, employers are liable for harassment by their staff in the course of employment unless they took all reasonable steps to prevent it, and the Health and Safety at Work etc. Act 1974 covers employees' health, safety and welfare. A good certificate records the course, hours, completion date and refresh date, and can be verified. The content should follow section 26 of the Equality Act 2010 on harassment, and be refreshed on schedule.

Lift College's certificate does each of these: it names Bullying and Harassment Training, shows 2 hours of learning, your completion date and a refresh-by date 3 years on, with a unique number and verification link. The refresher is free.

“I had been a care assistant for four years without a formal qualification. Lift College made the whole process straightforward, my assessor visited regularly and I completed my Level 3 Diploma in Adult Care in just over a year. I was promoted to senior care worker the month after I qualified.”

“My employer needed me to have Level 2 maths before they could register me on the Level 3 apprenticeship programme. Lift College was fast, the tutor was brilliant, and I resit my maths once after a near-miss and passed the second time. The whole thing took twelve weeks.”

FAQ

Questions about Bullying and Harassment Training

Is bullying illegal in the UK?

Acas says there is no specific law against bullying. Bullying can be unlawful harassment if it is related to a protected characteristic, such as age, disability or race. Employers should still do all they can to prevent it.

Is this course CPD accredited?

Yes. Bullying and Harassment Training is an accredited CPD activity with the CPD Standards Office, the UK's research-led CPD accreditation body. Lift College Limited is a CPD Standards Office accredited provider (provider number 51289), and your certificate carries the CPD Standards Office mark and our provider number so an employer or professional body can check it.

What is the difference between bullying and harassment?

Bullying is offensive, intimidating, malicious or insulting behaviour, or a misuse of power. Harassment under the Equality Act 2010 is unwanted conduct related to a protected characteristic, or of a sexual nature.

Is strict management the same as bullying?

Not always. Fair feedback and reasonable performance management are part of work. The course helps you tell them apart from behaviour that undermines, humiliates or harms someone.

What should I do if I am being bullied at work?

Keep a record of what happened, when and who saw it. If you feel able, talk to the person or raise it with your manager or HR. If that does not work, you can raise a formal grievance.

How is this different from Sexual Harassment Training?

This course covers wider workplace behaviour, including bullying and all forms of harassment. Sexual Harassment Training focuses on sexual harassment and the employer's specific legal duty to prevent it.

Is my employer responsible if a customer harasses me?

Since 30 October 2026, an employer must not permit a third party, such as a customer, client or supplier, to harass its employees, and is liable if it failed to take all reasonable steps to prevent it. This covers harassment related to any protected characteristic, not only sexual harassment. Bullying that is not linked to a protected characteristic is not covered by this rule, but your employer still owes you a duty of care.

How long do I keep access?

You keep your access for as long as Lift College offers the course, and never less than 3 years from the day you buy. Your certificate PDF is yours to keep.

What is the free refresher?

Lift College recommends refreshing this course every 3 years. When your date comes round, you can retake the latest version free and get a new certificate. We email you 30 days before.

Does it count towards my CPD?

Yes. The course is 2 hours of learning, shown on your CPD Standards Office accredited certificate, so you can log the hours in your CPD record.

Can I get my money back?

Yes. Ask within 14 days of paying and we refund you in full.

Can my employer pay?

Yes. Your receipt shows the course, the date and the amount paid, and you can pass it to your employer. Buying for a team? Open a free organisation account: every course is £16.99, and you can pay by card or invoice with your PO.

Can my team do this course in another language?

Yes, on an organisation account with 10 or more places. Your team can study Bullying and Harassment Training in Polish, Romanian, Punjabi, Urdu or Welsh, prepared within 1 working day of your order.
